What does data recovery cost?
The diagnostic is $89.99 and data recovery is $150. We look at the drive first, and no recovery work starts until you approve it. If we cannot recover anything, you pay only the diagnostic.
Can you recover a drive that clicks or is not detected?
No. We recover from drives that still run: deleted files, formatting and corruption. A drive that clicks, is not detected or was dropped has failed physically and needs a specialist lab. We tell you which it is at the diagnosis.
What should I do before I bring it in?
Stop using the drive. Every file you save and every program you install can overwrite what was deleted, so do not install recovery programs on it either.
Can you recover from a phone or a memory card?
No. We recover from laptop and desktop drives, external drives and USB sticks.
