Galaxy Book screens: what to know before a repair
AMOLED or LCD
Galaxy Book Pro, Pro 360 and Ultra models have AMOLED panels, and most standard Galaxy Book models have an LCD. They fail differently: an AMOLED shows black patches, coloured lines or the ghost of a static image, where an LCD shows white patches or light leaking in at the edges.
Very thin lids
The Galaxy Book Pro is built very thin and light, and its lid gives the panel little protection. Pressure on the closed lid in a bag, or something small left on the keyboard when it is shut, can crack it.
Touch and the S Pen on 360 models
On Galaxy Book 360 and Pro 360 models the display also reads touch and the S Pen. That layer is part of the display assembly, so a screen with a perfect picture that ignores the pen is still a display repair.

It depends on the model. Give us the model number, printed on the underside of the laptop, when you book or call, so we can check the screen before you make the trip.
My Galaxy Book shows a picture but ignores the S Pen. Is that the screen?
Yes. The layer that reads the pen is part of the display, so it is a display repair.

How long does it take?
Most common repairs take between an hour and a day when the screen is in stock. If it has to be ordered, we give you the expected time with your written estimate, before you approve the repair.
