What should I do right after a spill?
Shut it down, unplug it, do not charge it, and bring it in. Do not use rice or a hair dryer.
Does AppleCare+ cover liquid damage?
AppleCare+ includes accidental damage coverage, including liquid, with a service fee through Apple. The standard warranty does not cover liquid damage.
Can you save my data?
Often, but it cannot be promised. On recent MacBooks the storage is part of the logic board, so the data can only be reached if the board can be brought back to life. Tell us if the data matters more than the laptop, and do not charge it or switch it on in the meantime.
