Lenovo screens: what to know before a repair
One model, several different panels
A single ThinkPad model can ship with a full HD or higher-resolution display, touch or non-touch, with or without a privacy filter. The correct replacement is identified from the machine type and serial number printed on the base.
Yoga and other 2-in-1 models
On Yoga and Flex laptops the touch glass and LCD are bonded together and the screen folds all the way back, so display-cable wear at the hinge often shows up as flicker when the lid is moved.
Lenovo’s built-in display test
Most recent ThinkPads include Lenovo Diagnostics, which runs before Windows loads and can fill the screen with solid colours. Lines or dead areas that show up there point to the panel or its cable, not to Windows.

Lenovo Screen Repair — FAQ
Is a cracked screen covered by Lenovo warranty?
Standard warranty covers defects, not drops. Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) usually covers cracks.
Do you use genuine Lenovo screens?
Under warranty, always. Out of warranty, you choose: a genuine Lenovo screen or an aftermarket one. We send you the quote first and start the repair only once you approve it.
How long does it take?
Most common repairs take between an hour and a day when the screen is in stock. If it has to be ordered, we give you the expected time with your written estimate, before you approve the repair.
